Cloisonne Baluster Vase Peking Duck, Willow Birds, Pond and Flower 15″
This is a large Chinese cloisonné baluster vase featuring a white ground of cloisonné cloud formations with variegated greens of a willow tree hanging over a pond. There is a nice sense of motion featured by flying birds around the tree and Peking ducks in a beautifully-colored rippling pond. There are water plants growing out of the pond with hibiscus flowers and reeds. Topping off the shoulder and mouth of the vase are two different bands of stylized florals. The many colors against the white body emphasizes each feature to its best. The vase measures 15″ high by 7.5″ in diameter. Beautiful!
